Play most popular web radio (shoutcasts) in Netvibes.

On platforms other than Netvibes, the widget will let you play radios with your favorite desktop player (Winamp, Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc.)

Hello, two questions : Is it possible to add the shoutcast search engine in your widget ? or "au moins" the sort by bitrate : Broadband|128|56|

maxxyme : the widget is supposed to select the less loaded server automatically, not the first one. About the proxy, I can't do anything about it, sorry. newkensington: thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to add this feature to the widget.

It'd be very cool to have one of these where I can put in my own link to my favorite online radio stations' M3U files - and/or even set up my own set of channels with those. Many of my faves are not in these listings - and I want to put in a very specific online radio station. Know of anything for netvibes like that?

This widget is still posing problems to me: there is a web proxy @ the office, and the streams constantly break up (every ~15 min. but sometimes w./ lesser intervals). So I repeatedly have to re-run the streams I'm listening to. Could you please fix this...? Thanks.

I also contacted Netvibes support about the above "problem", and they told it's effectively up the widget developer to treat this. Below is the mail I sent them. ----------------- Hello, For a while, I'm using the excellent UWA Web Radio Player you promoted (here: http://eco.netvibes.com/widgets/205553/web-radio-player ) But there's a slight problem with some Shoutcast radio stations; indeed, they have a lot of "mirror" servers (e.g. ~20) and the first ones are often overwhelmed/too far, and so, are not very reliable for listening quality (skips, bufferizing...) Could it be possible to skip/select which mirror to play from (or more generally, which entry to play in the .m3u/.pls playlist file), e.g. by adding "prev." and/or "next" buttons in the Netvibes player..? Many thanks, Maxx -----------------

I'd like to know if something could be done (but I'm afraid it's not really related to this widget in itself) to skip some entries in the shoutcast playlists. I listen to some webradios that have almost 20 or more "mirror" servers and the first ones are always over populated or... (most often) not reliable, because too long from me (too much skips/bufferizing/...)

Finally got it to work on one station, but not my usual Internet radio station which is on the list.. Play Classical UK, or others I have so far tried.

Jon: as far as I know, the Netvibes Audio Player does not support Real Player streams.

I am trying to extend this so it plays BBC Radio Streams but cannot get it to work. The streams are Real Player based. Would the Netvibes Audio Player be able to use this format?

Hi, I just installed the module and when I click on a radio, the player starts at the to of my netvibes page, I see that the music is playing but I can't hear a sound. When I play podcasts are radio from other modules thesounds works OK. Do you have any idea of what's wrong?? Thanks

As soon as UWA supports Yahoo! Widget :)

Nice ! I own a webradio focused on electronic music (as you can see in the subgenres i've selected) and it's cool to see my radio in the displayed channel :-) do you expect a Yahoo.widget version ? thank you again.

That's a good idea, shoutcast.com is offering genres and subgenres, so why not this widget? Expect it soon. About the channel that never plays, it might happen with some streams, depending on their compatibility with the netvibes player, the current number of listeners, etc. Also, it also takes some time for the player to buffer data: the radio then starts after a few seconds.

Excellent work , but it can be more cool if we can choose our "genre". i've try by myself by changing this in the source code: <option value="house">House</option> <option value="minimal">Minimal</option> <option value="ambient">Ambient</option> <option value="downtempo">Downtempo</option> <option value="dub">dub</option> <option value="electro">Electro</option> <option value="Techno">Techno</option> it's ok the widget display the wanted radio chanel, but never play. I'm not a specialist.. Can we expect a new version ?? Thank a lot (sorry for my bad english)
